Curtain Call is an online database to showcase the proﬁles of people working in theatre. Curtain Call approached Drum in 2015 with a brand new concept that required branding development from the ground up, online development and marketing collateral underpinned with a 12 month social media and PPC strategy.
We launched the original Curtain Call website back in early 2016. At this stage, Curtain Call’s USP was its unprecedented access to the wings and backstage areas of West End theatres during performances. It’s growing collection of exclusive photography, audio and interviews from cast and technical crew provide a vivid insight into the world of theatre.
Our brief was to create a theatre database to showcase both this photography and the proﬁles of people working in theatre.
After our initial 12 month brand launch, marketing strategy, site launch, exhibition material and book publishing of the inaugural 408 page hardback Curtain Call annual, the site saw great growth, so we launched a brand new website in September 2017 to present some new and exciting features to serve the theatre industry. This subscription based access allowed theatre personnel to view features including a jobs board plus a suite of software products including time sheets and show reports, a detailed IMDB style search, a networking portal and messaging board, all supported by a book and print eCommerce store.
