The brief

Fidelity Information Services (FIS) had two customers in Australia that required case study videos to be created at the end of 2014. The videos needed to showcase how FIS have been instrumental in the customers' success in the Australian banking industry.

The solution

Organisation and logistics of any overseas filming can be tricky, but with two different customers in two locations; Brisbane and Sydney, the task was made even more complex. The pre production process of storyboarding, scheduling and call sheet preparation had to be incredibly thorough to ensure that we had all the footage we required when it came to editing on Drum's in house edit suites. We developed a new design standard for animation that will be used for all future video projects. We brought the classic two camera 'interview style' video to life, with the use of motion graphics and custom composed music.

Features

Live interview footage with motion graphics infographics, name slides and key messaging mixed with a bespoke composed music track.

Technology

Shot using the C300. Edited using Premiere Pro CC and animated using AfterEffects.

Client's Reaction

"It went fabulously well. The videos looked great and I appreciate the responsiveness. I was very happy with the output and we will be coming back to you shortly with our next project. Please pass on my thanks to everyone involved in these projects (including the person who makes those muffins!)"

Sydney VOX Pops

The brief

Fidelity Information Services (FIS) as part of their 'Close the Gaps' campaign required vox pops to be filmed in and around central Sydney at the end of 2015. The aim was to ask members of the public about the relationship consumers have with their banks and services offered in the current financial climate. FIS have been instrumental in the development of the Australian banking industry in recent years and use vox pops to analyse consumer response to technology and the current banking infrastructures.

The solution

Drum have pre-established relationships with trusted crew in Sydney. Logistics and crew books were all orchestrated from Drum HQ in Farnham, Surrey. This time round, due to the nature of filming, for the most part in public areas, filming permits were organised with four council organisations in and around Sydney. Editing was completed in Drum's in house edit suites once rushes were returned from Australia. Drum worked with the client, to establish the flow and provide rough and fine cuts pre-completion.

Features

Live interview footage filmed on location in central and suburbs of Sydney, Australia. Logistics, crew, film permits all secured from via Drum HQ in Farnham.

Technology

Shot using the Sony C100 with hard wired sound. Edited using Premiere Pro CC and animated using After Effects.

Innovation Centre

The brief

The brief was to film and produce a marketing video to promote the FIS Innovation Centre in Bangkok, Thailand. Targeted as a selling video for senior bankers and management of financial institutions, the video showcases the exciting possibilities of the venue as an executive briefing centre for bankers to discuss new and emerging technologies. The video needed to show the various FIS solutions at the centre in order to develop opportunities to sell those solutions to banks.

The solution

All managed from Drum, we briefed our crew in Bangkok to film over two days. Crew included a camera and lighting operator, director, sound engineer and make up artist. We provided working storyboards and shooting lists to ensure that the correct footage was captured for the edit and motion graphics composites that were completed in-house. Finally, a custom composed audio track brought the video to life.

Features

Live interview footage with motion graphics infographics, name slides and key messaging mixed with a bespoke composed music track.

Technology

Shot using the C300 and Canon 5D. Edited using Premiere Pro CC and animated in AfterEffects.
