We were asked by BAE Systems to update a pre-existing Unity development for their defence events. The original development was built in 2019 and needed content, style and narrative updates.
We refreshed the entire style of the interactive to give a new look to pre-existing delegates. Working with the clients updated script, we developed new assets and screens for approval.
These included updating the look and feel throughout with a new map style. The new map was built inhouse by Drum and supplied as hi-res imagery for use throughout the interactive.
As part of the previous development, we had an additional screen throughout where the client could display their local app. For this particular event, this was no longer a requirement, so this meant removing the screen throughout. This allowed us to re-jig the assets positioning throughout and make effective use of the space.
Once content was approved, we tested the development on the 55” 4K touchscreen monitor with the presenter for final tweaks and deployment.
Drum designed the interface and built the interactive using Unity with accompanying 2D and 3D animations with UI interactions.
The event and the interactive were very successful for BAE Systems, with delegates enjoying interacting with the updated development.
